A Girl and Her BMW

Susan has a BMW. Susan loves her BMW! Susan has a full-length fur coat. Susan loves her full-length fur coat, too! Now that the weather is cooling and the fall colors are nearing their final days, we thought a quick photo session with both the Beamer and fur coat was a fabulous idea with lots of potential. It was definitely time to get that awesome coat out of cold storage and it made for a fun and spontaneous outing around town.

A Kid’s Day at Fort Worth Botanic Gardens

Meet Jacob, Seth and Olivia. All three are absolutely fabulous kids with such spirit and an awareness of the camera. We had a great time at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Had beautiful weather for the shoot and enjoyed all of their antics…even though mommy and daddy might have been a little stressed at times. The photographer (me) didn’t sweat it one bit. All in all, it was a wonderful session. Thanks, Chad and Shelli, your little ones were all-stars – Enjoy your preview!

An afternoon at the Botanic Garden

Took a rather last-minute trip to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to scout out the fall color and see what spots were being used for photo sessions by other local photographers. First off, there were at least thirty or forty photographers in the gardens and I think I saw two weddings and at least two bridal photo sessions.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many at one time. Not being in session with a client attached to me, I found it difficult to get a shot off without someone or their entourage walking through it.

All in all, it was a wonderful little trip – the fall colors were pretty intense in places. The water fountains were wonderful and lots of pretty people enjoying the peace and tranquility of the gardens.

The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens charges an hourly rate for professional photographers – either $25/hr. or $75/hr. depending on which part of the gardens you wish to go to.

As a reminder, all location fees are the responsibility of the client. The client will need to register and pay all fees at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens conservatory info booth to get the photographer’s pass, which must be displayed and worn by the photographer during the photo session.

Waxahachie WW2 Weekend

Went down to Waxahachie, Texas to photograph the re-enactment of a 1944 battle of US and Allied forces against the German Army in the town of Nancy, France. Had a great time. Some candid portrait highlights of the event.
